Woodburns of SolomonsMore than 60 years ago this family-owned market was the only grocery store in Solomons Island for 30 miles. The original market was tucked between a hardware and another store.
The store is no longer owned by the Woodburns, but the new owners have maintained tradition and have added a counter of cooked dinners, an luncheon area, and a catering service.

Service to the CommunityWoodburns runs a free bus to the store from senior housing in nearby Lusby and to Solomons marinas for visiting boaters.
