The Calvert Animal Welfare League's annual fund raiser was a popular event that resulted in funds to build CAWL's adoption center in Prince Frederick. Unfortunately, a suitable venue for the pet walks is no longer available and they have been suspended for the foreseeable future.
There was much socializing in the exhibits area and walking the wooded paths. There are special demonstrations by the area search and rescue teams and the Sheriff's K9 corps, groomers, and vets. CAWL's adoptable pets were also available.

Although most of the pets were dogs, one bunny attended.
There were prizes and awards, an obedience demonstration, and a search and rescue demonstration. It was a beautiful, crisp day and everybody had a great time—especially the pets.
